It’s November 1st. Does that make it publicly acceptable to blast Christmas music? Because I’ll be honest, I tried playing some in my car this morning…then sadly realized that my mix CD {from college!!} wasn’t in the CD player {who still uses a CD player?!}. Devastating. But I heard that Red Cups are back…that’ll do. That’ll ab.so.lute.ly do.
I love all things about the holidays. All of them. Songs. Decorations. Family. Traditions. And food. Oh, the food! I’m so curious to see if your Top 5 of November and December will change at all. The top 2 have been going strong for months now but the gap is getting smaller and we almost had a new top recipe.
I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye, but until then, let’s look at what you guys were nomming on in October, shall we?
5) Slow Cooker Chicken Zoodle Soup
{Sigh.} An instant favorite. I love it. Warms me up in a jiffy and man oh man is it delish.
I can’t even handle it.
4) Honey & Balsamic Roasted Carrots
A reader shared with me a picture of her making these. I shared that on social media. You all went crazy and made them for yourself.
Um. That’s awesome. I flipping love it. I’m kind of obsessed with it. Keep sending me the pics. XO
3) Quick Italian Potatoes
These babies were a random recipe. I will 100% admit that. I made them on the fly one morning because I wanted to practice taking food pictures using the new camera. Then I thought they tasted pretty good…and I really liked the picture, so hey, why not post the recipe. Right? Right.
And then you all went crazy for them. Caaaarrrrraaaaazzzzyyy. In the span of a week, it shot up to the #3 recipe of the month…less than 20 views from taking the #2 spot. {For reference, ESJ gets thousands of monthly views.}
So, keep making random potatoes.
2) Oven Roasted Rosemary & Garlic Carrots
These carrots are like your favorite, go-to pair of jeans. The ones that you throw on when you don’t know what to wear, when you have a big night out planned, or when you just want to be comfortable.
Yes, I just compared carrots to jeans. Talent.
But, seriously, they’re such a dependable recipe that’s perfect for every occasion. I don’t blame you for making them all of the time. I do. They’re a staple in my kitchen.
1) Salsa Verde Shredded Chicken
I just love this recipe.
That is all.
I’m so excited to see what you all cook up this month! For family, for friends, to the tunes of holiday music, while sipping from your Red Cups.
XO
